TUESDAY DEC 2, 2014
TERM 4, WEEK 9
Behaviour Unfortunately, a small number of children have displayed inappropriate behaviour of late and suffered the consequences. The school will continue to implement school rules until the end of the school year. If you think that your child’s behaviour may be a concern I suggest you have a talk to them before they have to miss out on one or more of our end of year activities. Year 6 Farewell The Year 6 farewell will be held at the Woolgoolga Diggers R.S.L. next Monday, 8th December commencing at 5.30pm for photos. This is a special event for Year 6 as well as Year 5 who are also involved. A separate note has been sent home with details and payment should have been paid by Monday, 1st December. Yearly Reports Yearly reports for all students K-6 will be sent home with children next Wednesday, 10th December. Students and staff have gone to a lot of trouble to put the reports and work samples together and results are very impressive. Presentation Assembly Our end of year Presentation Assembly will be held next Wednesday, 10th December at 5.30pm sharp. Students need to wear school uniform and, in order to help this children can wear mufti on Wednesday. Students and staff have been working very hard on their respective performances and I would like to thank Tracey Taylor for the extensive amount of time that she is giving the school in assisting us to put together quality items. The P&C will be running a BBQ commencing at 4.30. Students need to be finished eating and drinking by 5.30 and seated in class groups. Younger children are to stay with their parents please.

Kyle Holmes Last Thursday would have been Kyle’s 10th birthday but unfortunately he passed away in August this year. As a memorial to Kyle, we have planted an Olive Tree to remember him by, Kyle’s Place. When you’re next at school please take a moment to have a look at what we have done. Disco We had a very successful disco last Wednesday with approximately $600 being raised for Year 6 end of year activities including the Year 6 Farewell and a present for the school. My thanks to parents who supplied food and/or drink for the disco as well as staff who supervised on the night. Intensive Swimming There are three days left of the Intensive Swimming program and Mrs Bartlett tells me many of our children are making good improvement during the sessions. Year 7 Orientation Our Year 6 students who intend to enrol at Woolgoolga High School have their Orientation Day there this Wednesday, 3rd December. Bus companies have been organised to allow our students to get to and from the high school just as they will do when they start high school, that is if they are not travelling with parents. Students will need to wear their Corindi P.S uniform and need to bring recess however a BBQ lunch will be provided. There will also be a canteen available. There will be a presentation for Year 6 and parents in the hall to start the day with Mr Taylor and Mr Skinner meeting the children at the high school at 9am. Please note, Year 6 go straight to the high school. Any concerns please contact the school.
