Twirl is growing up . . . and stepping out on its own!

We’ve come a long way in the three years since we published our debut list back in April 2014. There were only five titles then, lovingly developed by our compact team of editors and designers at Éditions Tourbillon in Paris, and enthusiastically marketed and sold by our friends and colleagues at Chronicle in San Francisco. These were books curated with French flair, but grounded in rock-solid early learning principles. We crossed our fingers and waited to see whether they would find a welcome in the United States.

The reception was well beyond our every expectation: Every one of those five titles reprinted before publication. For these first three years, the list has been carefully nurtured in the pages of the Chronicle Children’s Books catalog. There it has sprouted and grown: In 2017, Twirl is proud to be publishing 25 new titles! We owe HUGE thanks to all of you who love our books—booksellers, librarians, and parents—and who recognize that Twirl’s innovative, eye-catching

formats and developmentally sound content stand for a commitment to providing babies, toddlers, and children with books that inspire, challenge, and support their growing minds.
