DESCRIPTION

This is a presentation given to a graduate level Environmental Soil Pedology class as part of my course work for my Doctorate. Soil 1 is \'Podzolic grey variant\' (glacial till) located in drumlin country in Lisdoona, County Monaghan. This soil horizon shows a buried peat horizon reslting from solifluction possibly during the ice age. The second soil, Soil 2 is a glacial till located in Kilcurry. The american soil classification system is used to log each trialpit.
