COUNTRY ENTRY TO ULSTER PROPOSED INTERNATIONAL ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
ALBANIA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting Albanian qualifications, they must have at least a grade of 5 in Maths as part of the Dëftesë Pjekurie (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) (6 in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have passed the Dëftesë Pjekurie ‐ Certificate of Maturity/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with an overall average of 6 or above (grade 5 or above in each subject).
UG Programmes
Students must have passed the Diplomë e Maturës Shtetërore (Diploma of State Matura) with a Grade of 8 or above OR if lower must have one of the following: A recognised UK Foundation/Access course OR The first year of their Diplomë e Nivelit të Pare (First Level (University) Diploma) with an overall average of 7 or above. Students must have passed the Dëftesë Pjekurie ‐ Certificate of Maturity/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with an overall average of 6 or above (grade 5 or above in each subject) AND one of the following: A recognised UK Foundation/Access course OR The first year of their Diplomë e Nivelit të Pare (First Level (University) Diploma) with an overall average of 7 or above. For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme: If students have completed 2‐3 years of their Diplomë e Nivelit të Pare (First Level (University) Diploma) in a relevant subject with an overall average of 7 or above they may be considered (at the School’s discretion) for advanced entry. Students who have completed their Diplomë Universitare (University Diploma) in a relevant subject with an overall average of 7 or above may be considered for advanced entry (final year). Students who have completed their Diplomë Jo‐Universitare (Non‐University Diploma) in a relevant subject with an overall average of 7 or above may be considered for advanced entry (second year).
Grading System: A numerical scale of 1 ‐ 10 is used, with 5 being the minimum pass mark, 10 being the top of the scale.
PG Programmes
Students must hold a Diplomë e Nivelit të Pare (First Level (University) Diploma) with an overall average of 7 or above. Students with a 5 or above may be considered for our Graduate Certificate.
Students who hold a Diplomë universitare Degree (pre‐Bologna) with an outstanding grades may be considered. Students with a 5 or above may be considered for our Graduate Certificate.

ARMENIA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting Armenian qualifications, they must have at least a grade of 9 in Maths as part of the Certificate of (Complete) Secondary General Education (14 in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must complete secondary education and hold the Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Mijnakarg Yndhanur Krtoutian Attestat) and the Certificate of Unified Examination with at least a Grade C‐ (score of 8).
UG Programmes
Students must complete secondary education and hold the Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Mijnakarg Yndhanur Krtoutian Attestat) and the Certificate of Unified Examination with at least a Grade B (score of 15). OR Students must have passed the Diploma (Middle‐Level Professional Education). OR A recognised UK Foundation Diploma Students with qualifications prior to 2007 should also have completed a University entrance examination. Students with qualifications prior to the break‐up of the USSR, please refer to entry requirements for “Former Soviet Union States”.

PG Programmes
Students must hold a Bachelor degree (Diplom bakalavri astichan) 2:2 equivalent if studied after 2004 to include an individual research project/dissertation. If studied before 2004, students must do the Graduate Certificate in Business course.

AUSTRALIA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting Australian qualifications, they must have at least a grade of C in Maths as part of their Year 10 certificates (varies across territories)
International Foundation Programme
Students who have completed a Year 12 Certificate of Education but do not have Grade Cs or above, or do not have a University Entrance qualification may be admitted to the International Foundation Diploma in Business.
UG Programmes
Students must have received an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) (or prior to 2009 an appropriate University Entrance exam/qualification) along with a Year 12 Certificate of Education. (The title of each qualification differs depending on the region in Australia. The Grading system is different across the regions but overall we would expect average of Grade Cs or equivalent. Students with an AQF Certificate IV/Diploma/Advanced Diploma may also be considered for entry and subject to the qualifications obtained and level of these, advanced entry may be possible,
PG Programmes
Students must hold at least a Second Class (Lower Division) / Division B / Division 2 4 year Bachelor’s Honours Degree from a recognised university. A Student holding 3rd class honours degree or an Ordinary degree may be considered for the Graduate Certificate in Business course.

AZERBAIJAN English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Azerbaijan, they must have at least a grade of 3 in Maths as part of the Orta Təhsil Haqqında Şəhadətnamə (Certificate of Complete Secondary Education) (4in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have passed the Orta Təhsil Haqqında Şəhadətnamə (Certificate of Complete Secondary Education) with a Grade of 3 or above
UG Programmes
Students must have passed the Orta Təhsil Haqqında Şəhadətnamə (Certificate of Complete Secondary Education) with a Grade of 3 or above AND have completed a UK Foundation Degree OR Students must have passed the Orta Ixtisas Məktəbləri (Technical/Vocational College Diploma) with a Grade 3 or above. Students with qualifications prior to the break‐up of the USSR, please refer to entry requirements for “Former Soviet Union States”. Grading System:

BANGLADESH English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Bangladesh, they must have at least a grade of B in Maths as part of the HSC (A‐ in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have completed their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) with a CGPA of 3 and above AND their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) with a CGPA of 3.5/60%or above.
UG Programmes
Students must have passed their HSC with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/60% ANDmust have one of the following: A recognised UK Foundation/Access course OR A 2 year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall average of 50%. Students must hold: A 4 year Bachelor’s Degree from BUET with a minimum overall average of 60% OR Master's degree (when following a three or four year Bachelor degree) with a minimum overall average of 50% Students who have completed a Master's degree (when following a two‐year Bachelor degree) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) may be eligible to join the Graduate Certificate.

For students presenting qualifications from Belarus, they must have at least a grade of 3 in Maths as part of the Атэстат аб агульнай сярэдняй адукацыi (Certificate of General Secondary Education) (4in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have passed the Атэстат аб агульнай сярэдняй адукацыi (Certificate of General Secondary Education)with a Grade of 3 or above

BOLIVIA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Bolivia, they must have at least a grade of 36 in Maths as part of the Diploma de Bachiller Científico‐Humanístico OR Diploma de Bachiller Humanístico Pedagógico if studied before 2013 (50 for Accounting and Management). If completed after 2013, the equivalencies are 51 for Business Studies and 64 for Accounting and Management.
International Foundation Programme
Students must have completed 12 years of study and received the Diploma de Bachiller with an average mark of 36 or above if completed before 2013, or 51 or above if completed after 2013.
UG Programmes

BOTSWANA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Botswana, they must have at least a grade of 3 in Maths as part of the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (2 in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have passed the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate with an average grade of 3 or above
UG Programmes
Students must have passed the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate AND one of the following:
A recognised UK Foundation/Access Course OR
Bachelor’s Degree (Part 1) OR
Diploma (3 year) from an affiliated institute of the University of Botswana OR
Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies (for Business related programmes only)
OR
Students must have completed 2 years of study at the University of Botswana with an overall average of 2.2 or above.
For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme: If students have completed 3 years of study at the University of Botswana with very good results (2.1or above) or passed their Bachelor’s Degree (Part 1 and Part 2 in the old system), in a relevant subject, with a C (60%) or above they may be considered (at the School’s discretion) for advanced entry. Grading system: 1‐9 (with a minimum pass‐mark of 8) is used for all levels: 1 is the highest.
PG Programmes
Students must hold a Master’s Degree with a C (60%) or above. A Student with less may be considered for the Graduate Certificate.

BRAZIL English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Brazil, they must have at least a grade of 7 in Maths as part of the Certificado de Conclusão de Segundo Grau (Certificate of Completion of Secondary Education) or the Certificado de Ensino Médio (Certificate of Completion of Average Education) (8 in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have completed the Certificado de Conclusão de Segundo Grau (Certificate of Completion of Secondary Education) or the Certificado de Ensino Médio (Certificate of Completion of Average Education) with good grades (6/7+ or Bom, Muito Bom, Excelente or B/C)
UG Programmes
Students must have completed the Certificado de Conclusão de Segundo Grau (Certificate of Completion of Secondary Education) or the Certificado de Ensino Médio (Certificate of Completion of Average Education) with excellent grades (7+ or Muito Bom, Excelente or A/B) For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme: If students have completed 2 to 3 years of a 4 year Bacherel/Licenciado or Professional Title in a relevant subject area with good grades: Bom, Muito Bom, Excelente; A/B; 7+ or CGPA 2.75 (out of 4) they may be considered for advanced entry. Grading System: No uniform grading system but most use a scale of 0‐10 with pass mark varying from 5 to 7.5.
PG Programmes
Students must hold a 4 year Bacherel/Licenciado or Professional Title with good grades: Bom, Muito Bom, Excelente; A/B; 7+ A Student with less may be considered for the Graduate Certificate.

CAMEROON English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Cameroon, they must have at least a grade of C in Maths as part of the O Level or 10 in Baccalaureat (B at O Level or 12 in Bacc in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have completed the Baccalaureat with an overall score of 10 or above.OR The Baccalaureat Technique with an overall score of 10 or above. OR A Levels (120 UCAS points)
UG Programmes
Students much have completed the Brevet de Technicien Supérieur OR A Levels (240 UCAS points) Grading System: A‐F in English System, same as UK. 0‐20 in French system with 10 being the minimum pass mark.
PG Programmes
Students will be required to have successfully completed the Diplome d’Ingenieur, or the Diplome d’Etudes Superieures de Commerce. OR Students must hold a Licence/Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum overall score of 16 or above. Students who hold the Licence/Bachelor’s degree with lower marks may enter the Graduate Certificate course.

CHINA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from China, they must have at least a grade of C in Maths as part of the Senior High School Diploma (B in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Senior Middle School Certificate/Diploma of Graduation with overall Hui Kao result grade C or above or transcript of 3 years with a 70% average OR 2nd year of Senior Middle School with an overall average of 80% OR 3 year Specialised Secondary School Certificate/Diploma with an overall average of 75% OR 3 year Vocational School Certificate/Diploma with an overall average of 75%
UG Programmes
The Senior High School Diploma (Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu ‐ Year 12) with a minimum score of 85 AND have passed the High School Graduation Examination with a minimum score of B or above. OR The Senior High School Diploma (Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu ‐ Year 12) AND have completed a Chinese University foundation / access programme (normally with an overall average grade of Pass/70% and minimum 55% in any given subject). OR The first year of a 4 Year University degree with an overall average of 70% OR The first year of 3 Year College Diploma with an overall average of 70% or above OR Graduation Certificate from a Specialised College / School (Zhongzhuan) OR Graduation Certificate ‐ Sub‐degree (Gaozhi) level For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme: Applicants holding a 2‐year Specialised College Diploma or a University College Graduation Diploma with an average of 70% or above may be considered (at the Schools discretion) for direct entry into the 2nd year; Applicants holding a 3‐year Specialised College Diploma or a University College Graduation Diploma with an average of 75% or above may be considered (at the Schools discretion) for direct entry into the 3rd year. pplicants who completed the first 3 years of a 4 year University degree with an average of 75% or above may be considered for direct entry into the 3rd year. Applicants who have successfully an SQA HND (or equivalent) may be considered for entry to Year 2. Grading System: A‐D; C is highest pass mark.

PG Programmes
Applicants must hold a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree, in a relevant area, from one of 211universities (University List is attached) with an overall average of 65 or above (it is quite difficult to get high marks from such universities). OR Applicants with a 4 year Bachelor’s degree, in a relevant subject area, from other universities and colleges must have an overall average of 70% or above. OR Applicants with Bachelor Degree, in a relevant subject area, with grades of 75 and above in self‐study degree examination will also be considered OR Applicants who have successfully passed a recognised China Pre‐Masters Programme, in a relevant subject area, with a Pass at 70% or above For entry to Graduate Certificate in Business applicants need to have passed one of the following: Applicants must hold a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree, in a non‐cognitive subject area. OR A Graduate Certificate (3 year Diploma – Zhuanke/Dazhuan/Gaozhi level) at 70% in a cognitive subject area. Students with qualifications from the following institutions would not normally be considered unless they have additional qualifications and relevant work experience: Employee’s College/University, Night College, The Party’s College/University, Correspondence College/University, CCRTVU.

COLOMBIA English and Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements. Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Colombia, they must have at least a grade of “Very Good” in Maths as part of the Bachillerato (“Excellent” in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).
International Foundation Programme
Students must have completed the Bachillerato with Excellent (Excelente) Results
UG Programmes
Students must have completed the Bachillerato with Excellent (Excelente) Results AND have passed a higher education entrance exam (ICFES). OR A recognised UK Foundation/Access Course OR The First year of a university degree in the relevant subject area with an overall average of 3.0 or above. OR Técnico en ‘subject area will be stated’ (2½ year) For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme: If students have completed the Tecnólogo Especializado en...(3 year) OR 2 years of a university degree in a relevant subject with an overall average of 3.0 or above they may be considered (at the School’s discretion) for advanced entry.
