Ultrasonic Cleaning Machines for Precision Optics
The Swiss based UCM AG situated in Rheineck near the Lake of Constance is part of the SBS Ecoclean Group internationally leading in industrial cleaning technology. With the brands Ecoclean and UCM the Group is a full solution provider for all sorts of industrial cleaning applications, from pre-cleaning via intermediate clean-ing to fine and ultra-fine cleaning requirements.
Innovative and individual
The resulting combination of two product ranges and sales and service portfolios provides customers with a unique one-stop source for cleaning technology and associated services for every application, wherever they are located.
UCM is a manufacturer of multi-stage immersion-type ultrasonic cleaning lines. All equipment meets the highest standards of substrate cleanliness. Our sophisticated modular design allows these systems to be cost efficient and individually adapted to any aplication and requirement.
Cleaning, rinsing and drying operations are controlled and monitored by PLC or PC. An operator-friendly process display system facilitates tracking and logging of the entire workflow with optional special program features, if nec-essary (for example skip positions, repeat cycles, priorize dwell times). A range of peripheral devices such as oil separators, filter units and water reconditioning systems ensures an eco-friendly, cost-efficient cleaning process.
Fully automatic
In most applications these systems operate fully auto-matically, relying on automated loading and unloading units and an automatic robot-based movement of parts along the line. UCM produces fully automated ultra-fine cleaning equipment based on ultrasonic technology which are specialized for the specific needs for the precision optics as well as micro-optics industry. They incorporate special fixtures matched to the dimensions and prop-erties of the parts to be cleaned. Drying is achieved by infrared light, hot filtered air, centrifugation or vacuum.
Cleaning system for precision optics
The ultrasonic cleaning line has several need-specific cleaning and rinsing tanks. Drying is done via infrared. The process is fully automated. DI rinsing and IR drying are under laminar air flow in order to achieve particle free surfaces prior to coating. Ultrasonic treatment in the tanks is operated in a 40 / 80 / 120 kHz multifrequency mode. The line is controlled by a PLC system featuring up to 16 different programs as well as an LCD program and system display touch screen. In the rinsing, drying and discharge section, the parts are protected from re-con-tamination by a laminar flow of particle-free ultraclean air.
