• 1935 – National Youth Administration (NYA)

• Ages 8-22 were helped

• Provided job training for part-time jobs

• Gave two million young adults jobs

• Very successful

The effects of the second new deal and workers

• created a pension fund for retired people • unemployment compensation program • farm workers, domestics, and the self-

employed were not covered • Established National Labor Relations Act

Popularly known as the Wagner Act
