Develop a regional strategy which reduces the demand for single-occupant vehicle travel (SOV) by shifting demand to walking, cycling and public transit.
Examine mechanisms for further planning, implementation, funding and management of short-term as well as medium to long term transportation priorities
Integrate land use and transportation
Enhance alternatives to driving alone
Manage investments to support mobility options while maintaining affordability
Rapid Transit such as Light Rail Transit
Attractive Transit services and facilities
Pedestrian facilities
Comprehensive systems of bicycle facilities
It is not about LRT
The economics of our transportation system
Need to value transportation as part of a complete economic picture
