The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT) were established in 1999 as one of three pioneer faculties at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL). Previously known as Faculty of Industrial Information Technology (FIIT), this faculty is located in Section 7, Shah Alam and started by offering two programmes, Diploma in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

AftermovingtotheBestariJayacampusin2005,FCSITcurrentlyoffersfivediplomaprogrammes,sevenbach-elor’s degree programmes, three master’s degree programmes and PhD in Computing. These programmes cover various areas in computing domain; computer science, information technology, software engineering, multimedia, networking, supply chain management, knowledge management, mobile technology, computer security and industrial computing.

Most of the programmeshavebeen awardedwith lifetime accreditation status by theMalaysianQualificationAgency (MQA). The status proves that the faculty is capable of achieving the benchmark quality in academic excellence. The programmes are designed to develop future ICT professionals and are aimed at expanding their potentials beyond their academic achievements.
