Dormitory Living

Improve your English with intensive, active classes focused on preparation for university work, including speaking, listening, structure, and writing. Engage in a mini-research project and final presentation.

Connect with the academic unit of your major area of study. Learn about the unique features and areas of focus and research of your preferred department or college.

Learn about UH Manoa student services, the 3+2 program, resources for graduate students, and other interesting campus programs.

Participate in off-campus activities designed to introduce you to the history, culture, and beauty of Hawai‘i. Practice using English in the community with local people.

Meet with UH students regularly as part of the English classes and during some activities.

Learn about the beautiful and unique traditions of Hawai‘i with a kumu hula (hula teacher), and while exploring the community during your stay.

Experience living in a campus dormitory setting with other students from around the U.S. and the world.

EligibilityMust be current students of UH Mānoa 3+2 partner institutions.

Visa InformationParticipants may enter the U.S. on a B2 visitor visa. Visa letter will be provided. We recommend that visa applications be completed before cancellation/refund deadlines.

AccommodationsOn-campus dormitory housing; two meals per day in UH cafeteria. Additional meals on own.

Health InsuranceRequired for all students. If not purchased in home country, students will be required to purchase online upon arrival in Hawai‘i.

CostApplication Fee: $100 (non-refundable)Program Fee: $2,120 (includes Accommodations, Meal Plan, and Airport Transfer) Total: $2,220Payment by credit card preferred.

APRIL 30Cancellation/Refund Policy$100 application fee is non-refundable. 100% of program fee refundable through May 15. 85% refundable through June 15. No refund thereafter.
