STUDENT EMPLOYEES The Department of Recreational Sports employs approximately 850 students annually to operate our programs, facilities and services and paid them a total of $2,323,306 + benefits in FY14.

Rec Sports is the largest employer of students on the Texas A&M campus and, therefore, provides many students with the financial aid to fund their education.

PEAP BUILDING The new Physical Education Activity Program Building for the Department of Health & Kinesiology will serve as an ancillary facility for the Department of Recreational Sports

115,000 SQ. FOOT FACILITY WILL PROVIDE REC SPORTS: • Gym Space for 6 Volleyball or 4 Basketball Courts • Gymnastics Room for Gymnastics Sport Club • Mat Room • Sport conditioning space for boot camp • One weight room for the Powerlifting Club • Meeting space for Student organizations

Overall, even with the upcoming Student Recreation Center expansion, we will still loose some activity and meeting room space.
