• Why have you included these particular questions?

• What correlations do you want to investigate or expect to see?

• How do you plan to disseminate the questionaires?

• Is your sample population representative of the community?

Are you prepared for the interview?

Interview Checklist

• How do you minimize subject bias and subject error?

• Are the questions phrased correctly in the proper sequence?

• Practical considerations:– Are you taping the interview? (If so, have you asked

permission?)– Are you taking notes?– How long do you plan the interview to be? How do

you keep to time?– How do you ensure you get all the information you

need?

Be passionately reflective about your work

Good Researchers…

• Are never satisfied with ‘simple’ answers or one-dimension thinking

• Are very meticulous and detailed (not ‘tidak apa’)

• Do not draw fast and ‘hard’ conclusions easily

• Re-do and re-read their drafts many times (and insert ‘intervals’ before each redo)
