2. ON WISCONSIN!: The Dodgers continue their seven-game road trip
tonight with the third of four games against the Brewers at Miller
Park. Los Angeles has won five of its last six games, averaging 5.5
runs per game (33 R) and blasting 14 home runs in that span.
Following its stay in Milwaukee, the team will head to Denver to
close the trip with a three-game series against the Rockies at Coors
Field.
Last night, the Dodgers improved to 15-0 when scoring four
or more runs.
ON THE HILL: Joe Wieland will make his Dodger debut tonight
after going 3-0 with a 3.60 ERA in four starts with Triple-A Oklahoma
City. At Triple-A, Wieland struck out 22 against just two walks in
20.0 innings, while limiting opposing hitters to a .221 batting average,
including a .158 mark against right-handed hitters (6-for-38). Wieland,
who was acquired from San Diego this offseason, has gone 1-4 with a
5.31 ERA in nine career big league games (seven starts) with the
Padres in 2012 and 2014.
Wieland will become the ninth Dodger starter of the season
after the team used 12 different starters last year.
Zack Greinke improved to 5-0 with last night’s victory,
extending his career-best winning streak to 10 and winning
his first five decisions for the second consecutive season.
According to ESPN’s “Elias Says” blog, Greinke is just the
fourth Dodger pitcher to start 5-0 or better in consecutive
seasons, joining Preacher Roe (1951-1952), Rick Rhoden
(1976-1977), and Doug Rau (1977-1978). Roe won his first
10 decisions of the 1951 season, tying with Larry French
(1942), Don Newcombe (1955), and Ed Roebuck (1962) for
the franchise record for most consecutive wins to start a
season (10-0).
To make room on the active roster, the Dodgers optioned
left-hander Daniel Coulombe to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
HOMER HAPPY: With three home runs last night, the Dodgers took
over the Major League lead with 42 homers, the the most by the team
through the first 26 games of a season in franchise history:

HOT CORNER: Justin Turner put the Dodgers on the board last
night with a three-run homer in the sixth inning, his fourth home run
in his last six games. Since April 27, Turner is 7-for-17 (.412) with six
runs scored, a double, four home runs and nine RBI.
Juan Uribe has hit safely in his last 13 games, batting .318
(14-for-44) with two doubles, a homer and five RBI during
the run, which began on April 15. The streak is Uribe’s
longest as a Dodger and the second-longest hitting streak of
his career, trailing his 17-game run from April 15-May 5,
2002.
EVERYDAY DRE: On this date in 2011, Andre Ethier picked up
three hits at New York-NL to extend his hitting streak to 30 games,
the second-longest run in franchise history. He went 0-for-4 the next
day, bringing the streak, which had started on April 2, to an end.
Ethier’s next appearance will be the 1,300th of his career and
leave him just six games shy of Ron Fairly (1,306) for the
eighth most in Los Angeles Dodger history. Ethier ranks
among the LA leaders in runs (595, 10th), hits (1,257, 7
