The Leap Frogs

MISSIONThe Navy Parachute Team demonstrates professional Navy excellence by performing precision parachute demonstrations throughout the United States in support of Navy public outreach.

Established in 1969, officially commissioned in

1974 as the U.S. Navy Parachute Team.

7 members: four jumpers and three support

staff (PAO, HM, Safety Officer)– Augments

ADCON and OPCON by Commander Naval

Special Warfare Command Recruiting

TEAM OVERVIEW

1-3 shows a day Typically four to six jumpers Aircraft

– Military (fixed and rotary wing)– civilian (anything that will get us to altitude)

Freefall & Canopy Relative Work Special Equipment:

– American Flag, POW, team or other specialty flags– Smoke/Night Pyrotechnics– Team jersey, game ball

DEADLINES Deadline Dates

– 60-90 days out: Submit 2535 Aerial Requests

– 45 days out: Must be approved by CHINFO– 20 working days out: DDT to submit 2535

and 7711to FAA. Details locked down. If NPT does not have signed 2535 by this time NPT will cancel all plans to attend event.
