2017 MATCH DAY STANDARDS

ATTIREAllplayersarerequiredtoweartheUTSBats/Shamrocksclubpoloshirttoandfromthevenue.

TIMINGOnmatchdaysallplayersselectedaretoreporttothematchvenueatthenominatedreporttime,thiswillbesetwhenteamsaresentoutviatheBatsyahooemail. Asageneralrule,thereporttimeis90minutespriortothefirstbounce.

There are no excuses forbeing late. Allow yourself sufficient traveltime. “Stuck in traffic” or “I couldn’t findtheground”arenotexcuses.Thatissimplyasignofinadequatepreparation.

Afterthegame–stayasateam,enjoyadrink&somethingtoeatandwatchtheproceedingBatsgameforatleastaquarter. Howeveritispreferredthatyoustayfortheentiregame.

It’simportantthatallplayersattendpresentationsandsupporttheirteammates.Wecelebratewinstogetherandsticktogetherafteraloss.

2017 MATCH DAY DUTIES

SUPPORTYOURMATESMatchdayismorethansimplyplayingyourgame.It’salsoaboutsupportingyourmatesandthatsupportcomesintheformofMATCHDAYDUTIES. Itdoesn’tmatterwhatgradeyouplay,throughouttheseasonyouwillbecalledupontogoalumpire,runtheboundary,runwater,manthecanteen,assistwiththetimekeeping,orrunningthescoreboard.

TheLeadershipGroupwillnominateplayersfordutieseachFridaybeforeagame.Oncenotified,itisyourresponsibilitytoensureyoufulfilthatduty.Ifcircumstancesatthe timemeanthatyoucan’tfulfilyourdutyfor whatever reason, then it is your responsibility to find someone else to cover you. Itisn’tacceptabletojustignoreyourresponsibility.Thisisnotwhattheclubisaboutandnotwhatithasbeenbuiltupon,helpoutamate!
