In addition to opportunities for internships and field experience, the ITC is ideal for bolstering students’ research skills. Collaboration can take a variety of forms, from visiting the museum for a self-guided tour to working directly with museum staff and educators. At the ITC, students will add new depth to their work while gaining behind-the-scenes experience and insights from this cultural institution.
• Enhance primary source research by using objects and artifacts • Explore new outlets for practical research application (e.g., student-designed exhibitions)

VOLUNTEER
INTERN
RESEARCH
As an ITC Volunteer, you can support museum operations as a research or office assistant, greet our visitors, or lead tours for visiting schools. Not looking for a long-term commitment? Drop in for the annual Texas Folklife Festival or as a part of a service day!
Our collections hold objects representing the Texas histories of individuals from all around the world. You could find a break-through for your research, or just enrich your perspective. Come see what the galleries offer, and ask our staff what else we might have in store.
The ITC offers internships in departments including Collections Management, Communications and Marketing, Museum Research, and Education and Tours. Internships are open to undergraduate and graduate students in the fall, spring, and summer semesters, and most offer 3 hours of course credit. TexanCultures.com/internships
