SOLUTIONSKeep them in a cool, preferably air-conditioned

room. Air-conditioning is mandatory for dogs. Don’t make your pet travel in a confined car andtake them out for walks between 5 and 7 in themorning. Avoid evening walks, as ground heatingthat takes place after 6 pm can lead to burnt pawsand heat strokes

Make sure your pet has access to a clean bowl ofwater at all times. Carry a lot of water when you’retravelling with your pet and give it a bath two daysa week. In case of dehydration, immediately give ita shower or sponge bath and then consult a vet tocheck if it needs any medication

Use sprays, tick collars or anti-flea baths on aregular basis. This ensures that your pet stays cleanand hence, free of skin or other infections

They should be fed nutritious and semi-solid foodat least three-four times a day. Avoid feeding proteins to dogs, though cats can’t do without meat.Go for cool, moist food such as milk or curd, asthese also help in digestion. In case of dogs, ensurethat they don’t have any dairy product allergy

Keep a close watch on your pet and look out forsigns of infections. Don’t ignore small cuts or rashes
