JOIN US THIS SEASON for a talented array of performances from faculty and students to international artists. Samford Arts venues will brim with new productions, music, theatre, opera, dance and worship opportunities.
Our students and faculty are reaching audiences beyond the Samford stages, from a reading of professor Mark Castle's play in London's Houses of Parliament to conducting opera workshops throughout Birmingham. Ensembles are traveling the globe performing, and students are impacting communities through mission outreach.
Samford’s campus is buzzing with new students, facilities and energy to strengthen our commitment to innovative learning and core values supporting our Christian faith. With the support of the John and Rosemary Brown Family Foundation, the School of the Arts is excited to roll out a new curriculum this fall. This academic experience incorporates a multi-dimensional path for our students to be more collaborative, entrepreneurial and professionally fit. We invite you to be a part of Samford Arts and see how we are preparing today’s artist to shape tomorrow’s world by inspiring artistry and faith.

2017–18 Samford Arts Calendar
The School of the Arts presents a musical theatre blockbuster starring David Phelps in the Wright Center. The cast includes Samford theatre students, local children and professionals. Based on the story of Genesis, from musical theatre greats Stephen Schwartz and John Caird comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith . . . not to mention centuries of unresolved family business. Adam, Eve, Noah and the Father who created them deal with headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children.
DAVID PHELPS Over the greater part of the last two decades, David's artistry has grown to echo off the walls of Carnegie Hall, and vibrate the chandeliers in the White House and in countless halls and churches around the world. His masterful melodies have been turned into critically-acclaimed solo offerings, award-winning Gaither Vocal Band CDs and Gold and Platinum Gaither "Homecoming" collections. The School of the Arts is delighted to welcome him to our stages and appreciates the support of John and Marsha Floyd in underwriting his performance.
