This is the 20 passenger / crew compartment located at the rear of the Antonov and above the cargo compartment. It also contains sleeping quarters with six beds and a lavatory.

The rear door loading access has four remotely operated cranes that each have a 5 Ton lifting capacity.

Shown here are the main transmissions for the S-61’s being loaded.

The fuel truck gives you an idea of the scale and size of the Antonov. The aircraft was taking on 155,000 litres of fuel and there was a fuel truck under both wings. I guess it was still half full ?!?

With the loading completed the ramp has been raised and folded into place and the nose cone is now being lowered.
