We are a wine cellar company inspired by a combination of entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for collectible wine and modern design. From our offices in Brooklyn, NY and Vancouver, BC, we work on custom residential and commercial projects across the globe. Our expertise and approach to design is truly unique to the wine cellar industry where we focus on creating simple and efficient wine storage solutions while providing an ideal environment for wine to age long term.

Our designs are far from ordinary – by using fundamentals in industrial design, engineering and architecture and my education in fine wine, design and wood sciences, we have successfully developed a number of ingenious wine storage designs. Having installed hundreds of unique projects around the world, my travels have brought me far and wide for inspiration. VIN DE GARDE’s resulting original designs are aimed at discerning wine collectors and wine lovers alike. Our sommelier, designers and artisans will work with you to ensure that your collection is displayed beautifully and efficiently.

We specialize in custom wine cellar design, construction and fine wine collections — with expertise in each field.

We deliver complete, turn-key solutions for your wine storage and we offer our education in wine, our understanding of how to store and knowledge of products available to maintain it to everyone involved in your project.

We build our custom wine cellar storage products in steel, aluminum, wood, acrylics and glass — and are the only company in the world to combine our designs with these materials. Each one of our artisans are experts in their respective fields, from stone masons to fine furniture finishing. Our trades are certified and ticketed, our engineers and designers are professionals.

We have researched and developed a number of unique wine storage products. We design and build each and every product that goes into your wine cellar, from mechanical and cooling systems to custom inventory solutions.

We build an in-depth understanding of long term requirements for aging wine and how to prepare the cellar space for each project. We design with your collection as the focus – what you collect, how you collect and how you want to showcase your collection are key considerations.

HOW WE WORK

DESIGNThe design phase includes a complimentary consultation in our showroom to begin our working relationship and set clear expectations. We use this time to discover features, function and attribute that suit your needs. We then provide recommendations based on our extensive experience in building some of the finest wine cellars in the world.

BUILDYour custom wine cellar is fabricated from your original conceptual design with the greatest attention to detail. It starts with an exact cut list and programming for our automated machinery and then progresses to the ‘dry fit’ stage to ensure each component is finished to the highest standard to work within our custom wine cellar system.

The original ‘Wine Wall’ represents our minimalist approach to custom wine storage. ‘Wine Wall’ allows complete freedom in design and storage capacity, with endless options for panel material and bottle layout.

Assembly and installation is simple, all you need is a drill and a level.

The ‘Beta Bloc’ is a deconstructed design, based on our original wooden BLOC series. Only the essentials needed to support a bottle remain.

Infinitely expandable, yet easy to specify – just provide us with the dimensions of your room.

A modular, wall mounted wine storage system. With brushed aluminum rods and a selection of contemporary panel finishes, the options are limitless.

Panels are available in five different sizes and colors.

XY is only available for purchase as complete modules.

Our custom wine cellar cabinets are designed as built-in installations or freestanding furniture pieces. They are engineered to provide a complete wine cellar environment when space is at a premium.

We incorporate all of the details found in our custom wine rooms, including low heat lighting, low UV glass, environmental controls and high security systems while focusing on occupying a much smaller physical footprint.

Every component is offered in a number of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, wood and glass.
