ACTION PLAN DETAILS

Increase Picture Book Collection K-3• There have been complaints from k-3 teachers that the picture book collection is not large enough to provide adequate variety for their student population.

Tasks to accomplish objective• Use Titlewave to research, choose, order and purchase books. Advanced Search, K-3, Fiction/Non Fiction, 2 reviews. Yields 2500 titles.

Resources needed for objective• Titlewave account, time, cooperation and money

Person Responsible• Jon Scheiwe and Debra Ranallo Timeframe for

objective• Running titlewave query to obtain titles and reviews: 5 minutes.

• Review titles/reviews, choose and order: 2 wks

• Receipt of books, Cataloging and shelving: 1 month

Funding• Budget has adequate funding. ($3300.)

• Order $2000. worth of titles with ‘do not exceed’ of $1500.

Potential Problem• Jon may not agree with objective; however, he is very cooperative and with the knowledge that the teachers are requesting the picture books, he should be fine with the purchase.
