"VIVIMOS!" CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS BACARDI'S RICH CUBAN HERITAGE

By Bacardi Cuba

Introduction

Recently, Bacardi launched its “Vivimos!” campaign, a series of film, television, and print advertisements that portray the Bacardi family and the historical role it played in Cuba’s Independence. To date, the rum distiller has released two commercials and a short film, all directed by Jake Scott during a week-long shoot in Uruguay. The first of these advertisements, titled "Dawn of a Free Cuba," made its debut on May 20, Cuban Independence Day, 2013.

About "Vivimos! Part I: Eve of the Revolution”

Designed to promote the authenticity and heritage of the Bacardi brand and family, the Vivimos! campaign draws from the company's 151-year history and its distinctly Cuban roots. To give patrons a true sense of this connection, the company produced the six-minute film "Vivimos! Part I: Eve of the Revolution," which will play in movie theaters across the country.

Conclusion

The film provides a glimpse into the political environment at the time and shows Emilio Bacardi organizing the revolutionary network, preparing to fight for what he believed in: freedom. The story of Cuba continues in "Vivimos! Part II: The People Take Arms," a one-and-a-half-minute commercial that first aired on late-night television on June 25, 2013.
