• Volume:• The volume of a solid is the amount of

space it occupies.• Capacity :• Capacity is the amount of liquid a

container can hold when it is full.

• Capacity is a measure of how much a container can hold. We might measure the capacity of a bottle, cup or cartoon anything which can hold something else.

• dimensions; compass; space occupied, as measured by cubic units, that is, cubic inches, feet, yards, etc.; mass; bulk; as, the volume of an elephant's body; a volume of gas.A amount, fullness, quantity, or caliber of voice or tone.

We can use different equipment to measure capacity.

Capacity is often defined as the capability of an object, whether that is a machine, work center or operator, to produce output for a specific time period, which can be an hour, a day, etc.

• The volume of an object is the amount of space it takes up. For example, an inflated balloon takes up more space than an empty balloon. That means that a balloon that is blown up has more volume than one that hasn’t been blown up.
