Vulnerable Adults and Children ProgramA program designed to assist Emergency Services in identifying Children and Adults with Disabilities, in order to provide more effective service during emergencies.

VULNERABLE ADULTS AND CHILDREN REGISTRY Program designed in Chelan and Douglas Counties to

enter Disabled Adults and Children into the Emergency Services Database

Yearly Event Includes a form for parents and guardians to fill out

for emergency services. Form is available online in Spanish and English. A picture of the vulnerable adult or child is attached

to a name file. Provides up-to-date contact, medical and disability

information and a photograph of the vulnerable adult or child to help emergency services during critical events such as: Fires Car accidents Missing children and adults Medical emergencies Evacuations Can be accessed by Officers and Deputies on their

lap tops

WHO CAN SIGN UP FOR VAAC REGISTRY

Any adult or child with a disability who would like Emergency Services to know specific information about their disability, to assist them during an emergency.

Examples: Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Down Syndrome, physically disabled, mentally disabled.

MANY VOLUNTEERS HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS, OR FRIENDS WHO ARE DISABLED.

VOLUNTEER TO WORK AT THE EVENT ON THEIR OWN TIME, OR THEY ADJUST THEIR WORK SHIFTS TO ATTEND EVENT.
