SMART TARGETS
are:
S – SPECIFIC
M – MEASURABLE
A – ATTAINABLE
R – REALISTIC
T – TIME BOUND
We will start by learning how to set
SMART targets.
For my English Language in SA2, I will aim to
score an A2 – B3 since I have scored
an
average of B4 for most of my
tests.

Early Admission Exercise to Poly/ITE
•EAE is an aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnics based on their aptitudes and interests, prior to receiving their final grades. It allows the polytechnics greater flexibility to select and admit students on criteria beyond just academic grades, thus allowing a wider range of talents to be recognised.
•Estimated to be around 800 for each poly.
46
Implications for EAE
•Increased importance of
–School internal exam results
–Co-curricular activities records – enrichment, competition, VIA, etc
•Added advantage to maintain a good portfolio
47
New MOE initiatives 2017• Subject-Based Banding at Secondary Level
• Enhancements to Direct School Admission in Secondary Schools
• Review of Affiliation Priority in Secondary 1 Posting
• Enhancements to Aptitude-Based Admissions in PSEI, and
• Introduction of the ITE Technical Diploma and SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree Programmes
