The MEVA Screw Wash Press (SWP) is operated by the screenings being fed forward by a slowly rotating screw. Wash water is added in the wash/press zone, where dissolved materials and water are pressed out and brought back to the waste water treament process.

TheMEVAScrewWashPress(SWP)isoperatedbythescreeningsbeingfedforwardbyaslowlyrotating screw.Washwater is added in thewash/press zone,where dissolvedmaterials andwaterarepressedoutandbroughtbacktothewastewatertreatmentprocess.

The working cycle is adjusted by the control system with regard to the composition of thescreenings.TheretentiontimeinthepresscanbeprolongedbymountingaCounterPressureScrew(CPS)aftertheSWP.Thiswillincreasethewashingefficiencyanddrysolidscontent.

Thepresstransportsthewashedandpressedscreeningstoacontainerviaapipesystem.TheMEVASWPisdesignedwithdoubletroughsmakingitvery“torqueresistant”forheavyoperationswithscreeningsofhighdrysolidscontent.Thehigh“torqueresistance”enablestheSWPtobedeliveredwithalargeinletopening.Furthermore,thedoubletroughallowsfortheinnerpipetobefullyperforated,thereby,allowingmaximumdewatering.

Thescrewoperatesclosetotheinnerpipe,whichresultsinhighdrainage.Arobustaxialbearingandgearboxabsorbtheforcesfromthepress.Thepresszoneiseasilyandsafelyaccessiblethroughahatchinthetopofthecasing.

MEVAScrewWashPressismainlymanufacturedinstainlesssteel.Thescrewandwearpartsaremanufacturedinhighlydurablesteel.
