Wet-on-wet• wet paint applied onto wet paint

Wet-on-Dry• wet paint applied onto dry paint or

paper

Dry-on-Dry• Use of a dry brush to paint onto dry

paint or paper

Layering • The use of layering with watercolor

requires patience to allow previous layers to dry. Layering your colors will allow for richer and deeper colors and textures in your painting.

Salt Technique • by adding the salt to the paint while

it is very wet, the salt will absorb the water and leave behind a crystalized texture
