MORNING Quantum Global
Good Morning & Welcome to Friday's trading action at Dalal Street,
dated 17th May 2019.
Outlook for Friday: Up again for benchmark Nifty.
The good news for bulls camp is that the benchmark Nifty rebounded hard in
yesterday's trade — after a 18-days of severe volatility, a bullish sign for
investors who would prefer to trade on buy side ahead of election outcome on
23rd May 2019.
That brings us to our call of the day which suggests a bright day ahead and
any declines should be used as an opportunity to initiate long positions.
Nifty likely to Take-Off — Support seen at 11061. Hurdles at 11567.
Sentiments could also get a boost after boosted after a strong overnight
close at Wall Street. The big positive catalyst happens to be some section of
media reports which suggests that Federal Reserve may cut rates again.
Bottom-line: Worldwide stock markets should gain on this tailwind.
SGX Nifty is indicating a positive start for our stock markets.
The big question: Will today's session bring out the bulls:?
Honestly speaking, if Nifty holds above psychological 11,061 mark, there's
good hope that equities can gravitate back to the top of their trading range.
Agreed, that the exit poll outcome on 19th May could forecast more storm
clouds ahead, but a favorable outcome on 23rd May could force perma-bears
to end all the pessimism surrounding Dalal Street.
Also the bulls will hope meantime that the U.S-China call for truce and bring
the wheels of the worldwide economic growth engine to prosperity — from
the muck. The bulls' are likely to roar only on any positive news coming
courtesy of trade news.
Meanwhile, keeping bears active will be negative catalysts like:
1.Selling intensifying from FIIs camp. The Foreign Institutional Investors
have sold shares worth Rs. 953.23 crore in the Indian equity markets in
Thursday's trade. In the month of May, as of now, the FIIs have pulled
out Rs 8,380 crore.
2.Oil prices have spiked in last three days as investors focused on a
percolating Middle East tensions. Well, if thats so then we could easily
see oil prices rise to $75 a barel from here.
3.Skymet — a private weather forecaster has said that monsoon to
arrive late — will arrive on its southern coast on June 4 and deliver less
rain than average this year.

MORNING Quantum Global
Technical Strategy4.Exports growth slides to 4-month low in April; trade deficit at 5-month
high. Also, sluggish macro data. India just posted the worst car sales
data in 8-Years.
Now let's looks at corporate news which are likely to command investors
attention:
• Bajaj Finance reports 57% jump in Q4 consolidated net profit at ₹1,176
crore. The results beats street estimates. Technically, the immediate
upside targets are at Rs. 3301.
• L&T further hikes stake in Mindtree to 26.48%. With its stake crossing
26%, L&T is in a position to demand a board representation in Mindtree.
• Commanding attention would be Tata Chemicals which transfers
consumer business to Tata Global Beverages. The transaction is
expected to be completed by the end of this fiscal. In yesterday's trade,
Tata Chemicals rose 8.29% and Tata Global Beverages rose 10.99%.
Meanwhile, Q4 earnings to trickle in today:
• Friday: CORPBANK, ARVIND, JUBILANT LIFESCIENCE, BAJAJ AUTO,
UPL, ENGINERSIN, POLYPLEX, IOC, CESC.
The near term direction will also depend on the:
A.Trend in USD/INR.

BAJAJ HOLDING has enjoyed strong
sessions this week, up 3.48%.
Technically, brace yourselves for a major
breakout play on monthly charts. An
impulse uptrend is seen forming on the
daily time scale, with positive SAR series,
major confirmation above its all-time high
at 3800 mark.
Add to that a bullish divergence and a
rising stochastic signal (on weekly charts)
with recent increase in volumes signaling
a larger rebound. The 200 days
Exponential Moving Average (EMA) of the
stock on the daily chart is currently at
3030 zone. The level of Rs 3000-3100
zone will act as a strong support zone and
any corrective declines to these levels
should be used as an opportunity to
initiate aggressive long positions.
A potential entrance exists at CMP, as the
stock is likely to aim its all-time-high at
3800 and logical targets at its
psychological 4000 zone. Holding Period:
