(a) (i) Identify the man-made feature found at grid reference 535758, (01 mark) (ii) State the grid reference of the trigonometrical station secondary. (01 mark)

(b) (i) Measure and state in kilometers, the distance of the dry weather road North of the road junction at Bukomansimbi (grid reference 462819). (ii) State the general trend of the bound surface road running Southwards from Villa Maria.

(01 mark) (iii) Find the bearing of Kyansi Church (Grid reference 492762) from the borehole Southwest of Lukuku (grid reference 442795). (01 mark)

(iv) Determine the vertical interval of this map extract. (01 mark)

(c) Draw a cross section of the area between grid references 440810 and 500762 and on it, mark and name; (i) Seasonal swamp,(ii) Conical hill,(iii) Woodland vegetation, (iv) Motorable track(v) Settlements. (07 marks)

(d) Describe the; (i) Relief of the area,(ii) Relationship between relief and settlement in the area shown on the map. (06 marks)

(a) Identify the economic activity taking place in the photograph. (01 mark) (b) Describe the conditions which favour the growing of the crop shown in the photograph
