Reggaeton is sweeping the Latin music world with its irrepressible blend of tropical Latin and reggae rhythms.

The distinctive sound of today's reggaeton is a mix of Jamaican dancehall rhythms, derived from reggae, and Latin merengue, bomba, plena and sometimes salsa.
