Here are some of KS2’s favourite books
from this half term. Have you already read
them? If not, why not give them a go?
This autumn, earn points for Children’s
University through taking part in different
activities at home or in your local area. The
Children’s university leaflet has been shared
with you via Parent Mail and tells you all about
the different activities you can do this autumn.
The children have also been sent home with a
suggested page of autumnal projects they can
do during half term that will earn them points.
Get involved and share your creations and
adventures with your class teachers! For more
information about Children’s university, visit:

I would recommend the book ‘Sisters’ by Raina Telgemeier because it is a funny book based on the troubles that siblings go
through. It is written in a comic book style which I think works really well with the story. I enjoyed this that much that I wanted to read it twice; without a
doubt, I would give it 5 stars. What I loved most was how you really got to know the characters and
how they were feeling. By Esme
I would recommend ‘I, Cosmo’ by Carlie Sorosiak be-cause it is about a dog that can talk! When I read it, I was speechless because it was so good. It is a fan-tastic fiction book, with lots of exciting detail and
description.
By Gracie
‘Lily Alone’ by Jacqueline Wilson is a good book because it follows the adventures of Lily and her siblings. This book has a really good plot
and it is very unpredictable. Jacqueline Wilson also has loads more exciting adventure books
that you could check out!

Book Fair!
Exciting news! Our book fair will be arriving
at school on Thursday 5th November. Each
class will have the opportunity to view the
books, and there will be a detailed leaflet
sent home, outlining the books available. To
purchase one of the books, chil-
dren will either need to bring
the exact amount in a sealed
envelope, or there is the option
to pay and purchase online. Fur-
ther details around this will be
sent out after half term.
