Welcome Morah Kareen and class. We are the teachers now. Today we are going to tell you about the mizbea’ach hanechoshet ( the copper altar).

Mizbe’ach hanechoshet

The mizbe’ach hanechorshet is where the Kohanim sacrificed

the animals.

The Outer Mizbe'ach consisted of three platforms stacked to form a square pyramid. To the south of the Mizbe'ach stood a large ramp, which enabled the Kohanim (priests) to ascend to the Altar's roof

Hashem said the alter must be of wood. Five cubits square and three cubits high coverd in copper. Poles in copper will be put into rings on the two sides of the alter when caring it.

Hashem said and you shall make it pots to remove it’s ashes it’s shovel and it’s sprinkling bowls it’s flesh hooks and it’s fire pans all it’s utensils shall be made of copper.

This is how it was built.
