Third Grade Configuration“Teamwork Builds Communities of Learners”
Three Teams Students stay together for Homeroom,
Language Arts, Social Studies and Science.
Students switch classes for Math instruction which is grouped homogeneously.
Grouping is flexible.The homeroom teacher serves as the
key communicator with parents.Students will have either one or two
teachers.

100 Book Challenge Club - Grades 3, 4, 5 Tuesday 1 2 3 4 Library – Students will work towards their personal reading goals by participating in additional 100 BC time. (May attend all year.)

Monday 1 2 3 4 Meet sponsors at Gym doors – Students will learn rules and strategies while building athletic skills, teamwork concepts, and good sportsmanship during competition.
Computer Club - Grades 3, 4, 5 Monday 1 2 3 4 Computer Lab – Students will engage in computer-based activities such as word processing, graphics, and internet research.

Thursday 1 2 3 4 Room 230 – Students will learn improvisation, work from short scripts, and film commercials.
Environmental Service Club – Grades 3, 4, 5 Monday 1 2 3 4 Room 171 – Students will help make the school more environmentally aware through projects like recycling.
Fitness Club – Grades 3, 4, 5
Wed. 1 2 3 4 Gym - Students will explore many different aspects of fitness like dance, aerobics, step aerobics, games, yoga, and weight training.
Mandarin Chinese Club** – Grades 3, 4, 5 Monday 1 2 3 4
Library Classroom – Students will explore Chinese holidays and celebrations, games and puzzles, calligraphy, favorite foods and treats, basic geography, martial arts and more.
Math Investigations Club – Grades 3, 4, 5
Monday 1 2 3 4 Room 247 – Students will explore number sense while playing games, solving problems, and mysteries.
Mystery Drama Club – Grades 4, 5
