What is GCSE Product Design?

• This is your chance to get creative! You will be asked to find new design solutions for existing problems.

• It’s versatile! Product Design can be Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food or Textiles.

• You will learn about famous designers and look at iconic products which have helped to shape the world we live in.

• ...and you will be able to use many skills which you have learned in other subjects!

Year 10:• A variety of designing and making tasks• Advanced Innovation Challenge – practical exam

Year 11:• Developing and Applying Design Skills (coursework)• Making, Testing and Marketing (coursework)• Designing Influences – written exam
