Welcome to our
staff meeting.

Purpose: The purpose for our
meeting is to begin the process of developing a
shared vision for our school.
It is my goal to develop a school vision in collaboration with you, and then
communicate the vision with our learning community.
Currently: MISSION STATEMENT The staff of the Ida Elementary School will strive to build a solid foundation for learning. We believe our goal is to develop our students’ capabilities and interests in learning, in order that they will continue to grow intellectually
and personally throughout their lives. This is a great mission statement but its focus is what we do every day. Our vision will imagine how our mission will be fulfilled in the future.
VisionDeveloping a vision is the first step in developing a more effective school, it describes the school we seek to become.
Identifying where we want to go in relation to where we are is the key to identifying those areas where we need to improve.
Creating a shared vision requires staff and other stakeholders to identify and share your core beliefs and
describe how your ideal school would look.

*You need to have a voice to help make the building culture open for everyone.

We will keep abreast on what is functioning at different levels in the building.
Move as a UNITY toward our vision!
I suggest identifying ways we can use technology to open communication channels.
Also, as we collaborate, how are we going to providefeedback so we are heard but not threatened?
