Media The Library Media Center is a place where

students learn how to learn!

Every student comes to the library for

lessons, research skills, and weekly checkout.

We share our passion for reading and teach

students to be future-ready with information

access skills, often involving print and digital

resources.

We are passionate about teaching students to

love literature and learning!

Band & String Orchestra

Twice a week for 30 minutes

If your child is interested in learning an instrument, get them signed up today! Classes start next week.

3rd graders may choose a string instrument - violin, viola or cello.

4th graders may choose a band instrument - flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba or percussion.

(or 4th graders may continue on their 3rd grade string instrument.)

A Day in the Life...

Daily Schedule:● 9:00-10:00am Related Arts● 10:00-10:45am Language Arts (Writing focus)● 10:45-12:00pm Math (healthy snack, brought from

home, that can be eaten while working & listening)

● 12:00-1:00pm Language Arts (Reading focus)● 1:00-2:00pm Recess & Lunch● 2:00-2:15pm Class Circles (#TeamTime)● 2:15-3:10pm Content (Science, Social Studies)

Energy for Learning...

● Lunch is eaten at 1:30pm

● Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack each day

● Breakfast is available at school and students may purchase breakfast any day using funds from their lunch account.

● If students arrive at school without a snack, they may go to breakfast, and use money on their account to purchase an item to save for snack time.

Unheard Perspectives Showcase

Great before-school enrichment opportunity!● Students research an African American

innovator and create a presentation project to share their knowledge.

● School-level seminar and county-level showcase

Chorus

The first Chorus rehearsal is tomorrow (Thursday, September 19). You can register your child tonight by visiting the link from Mr. Langrick or fill out the paper form.

We strive to assign homework that we feel is valuable and will keep children connected to school assignments.
