Ethos

• Celebrating the leading and learning of children whilst being; boundless, brave, caring, playful, responsible and unique

• child led learning - giving children choices of different ways/places to learn including Outdoor Learning

CurriculumOur topics for the year will be: - Our World and Beyond - Ancient Greeks - Chocolate - Individual Child Led Topics - The Big Drip!

Trips

• We will be aiming for half termly trips/visitor

• £60 approximately per year for class trips/visitors.

• Local community

Logistics• Drop off is between 8.30-8.45am. Register

will be taken at 8.45am. • Parents to say ‘goodbye’ in the

playground. • Harvest assembly 25th September 2015• Class assembly Friday 13th November 2015• Lunchtime – new catering company, your

child will decide daily which meal they would prefer

• Uniform – please check the website and ensure your child is dressed accordingly 

• After school clubs – to start w/c 21st September

Timetable• Maths/English daily• Forest School – Wednesday (TBC)• Multi-sports – Monday afternoon• Guided Reading sessions• Afternoons – mixture of Child Led Learning,

Music, Computing, Creative, RE, PSHE, Humanities, Science and Topic.

• Family Groups – Tuesday• After School Club – Year 1 small room• Breakfast Club – library• Sibling Club – EYFS• Home Learning

Home is part of the childParent communication • link book and via the office • positive feedback fortnightly –

verbal/blog/link book• blogs updated weekly – please ensure you

have signed consent form• half termly newsletters and sharing

mornings• Please let us know if you have any

particular talents or want to volunteer at HA.

• Please check book bags daily for letters

• Mobile telephones - no telephones around the school • Photos only to be taken of your own child in school on a

digital camera (not phone) – please do not share on social media sites.

• ESafety permission form, please make sure these are signed or your child will be unable to use technology in school.

• Correct drop off and pick up arrangements - parking - passwords – anyone picking up your child must know this• ESafety at home – workshop this half term.
