Welcome to the
CME Project Meeting 2013

Computational Seismic Hazard Data Products
There are several existing seismological data products currently used by non-seismological groups.
1.Earthquake early warning ground motion alerts
– (Used by: Public in Japan, Mexico, Turkey)
2.Scenario earthquake peak ground motion estimates
– (Used by: Emergency response planners, building engineers, insurance companies in loss estimates)
3.Scenario broadband seismograms
– (Used by: Building engineers including energy production companies)
4.Probabilistic forecast of peak ground motions in decades to centuries
– (Used by: Building code developers, insurance companies in loss estimates)
Each of these computational data products represents an interface between seismological researcher and important external non-seismological users. The CME group integrates new SCEC computational science advances with scientific software and high performance computing to improve these broad impact data products.
