Teachers Notes

This presentation contains a sequence of questions, each with two possible answers. The questions are straightforward and should serve to reinforce students’ prior knowledge.

To make the quiz slightly different there are different ways in which students can signify their answers rather than verbally or in writing. The first way involves labelling one classroom wall or table ‘a’ and another ‘b’. Students can then signify their answer to each question by making their way to the appropriate wall or table. This method of running the quiz will depend on whether or not the classroom in use has an appropriate layout or enough room.

Alternatively students can each be given a red and a blue card, where red signifies answer ‘a’ and blue signifies answer ‘b’. They can then hold up the appropriately coloured card in response to the question.

If using the wall/table method it is important to ensure that students do not run and that any bags, stools or chairs are safely stowed to prevent trip hazards.
