GPAs & Transcripts

ISS utilizes a 4-point “Un-weighted” GPA HONOR’S CLASSES = +.5 Quality Point toward a

“Weighted GPA” (all MYP courses in 9th grade with the exception of Math I and Health& PE are Honor’s Level)

AP & DP CLASSES = +1 Quality Point toward a “Weighted GPA” (10th graders take APWH)

All grades for HS credit courses are included on transcripts Those taken in MS are coded differently Codes also differentiate Honors/AP/DP

90-100 = 4.0 Regular; 4.5 Honors; 5.0 AP/DP

Students are awarded points for every FINAL grade they receive.

The points are then averaged together to calculate the GPA.

New GPA Scale

New 10-Point Scale Now

Means:90-100 = 4.080-89 = 3.070-79 = 2.060-69 = 1.0
