Network CouncilThe purpose of the Network Council is toempower, inform, and celebrate students, parents, families, and the community. We usevarious methods to accomplish our purpose. For example, we use a communication systemcalled TELEPARENT to inform parents aboutimportant information and upcoming eventspertaining to our school.

Network Council Responsibilities

It is the expectation that every member of this council be involved in meaningful planning and implementation of events Continually throughout the school year. It is up to eachSubcommittee to take on additional/multiple tasks and reportbriefly each council meeting. Subcommittees may requestassistance from other members/subcommittees.

TELEPARENT

Meetings

Network Council meetings are held twoTuesdays a month. Please refer to Network’sagenda for upcoming meetings.

In order to keep the meeting as productive aspossible the following is expected: Show up for an hourContribute your time and effortNo side conversationsRespect everyone’s inputHave a solution based mindset Stay on topicBe mindful of the time while providing inputHold each other accountable

Voting GuidelinesThe council will make strides to come to aconsensus. When a consensus cannot bereached two thirds vote will be considered asapprove.*****************************************Any non-members who attend the meeting willget a chance to give their input however, votingis reserved for members only.

11-12 70%

9-10 35%

Committee Officers

Rotating Facilitator-Keeps the meeting runningProductively (use Robert’s Rule of Order)Timekeeper-agenda setting, allocates time to each

agenda item, and keeps members aware of the time.Record Keeper-writes the minutes and post the minutes

in the office by the sign in cards seventy-two hours after the meeting.

Subcommittee managers disseminateinformation to the grade level coordinators, allocate jobs

to each member of the sub-committee.
