What is the “Hay Ya” song about?

Shaking Polaroid Pictures?

No…….. Not quite.

“Hay Ya” by: OutKastIt’s about…….

• A relationship ending;• When feelings are involved, people are divided;• Love is not forever;• Questioning the existence of love;• Giving up on that relationship;• Getting “sugar” from someone else simply

because you are no longer happy with the first person.

Sometimes we become too caught up with the “how” and forget the

“what,” the thing itself or the words themselves.

We often respond with, “That sounded so good!” and not even

know what was stated.

At times, what we care about the most (the “how”) distorts what we

should care about the most (the thing itself).

At times, our desires mislead us into a path of persuasion that

determines how we view all things.

What persuades you more:

What someone sees?Or

The way they see it?

Woman: Young or Old

Einstein or Monroe?

Count the Faces…

Answer: 10 Faces

Woman or Face?

Old Woman or Young Woman?

How Many Pandas?

Hidden Animals

2 Old or 2 Other?

Horizontally Straight Lines?

Where’s the Scary Face?

What do you (think you) see?

With only ½ a second to view…

What did you see?

Look again… at the camera angle

Picture Phone Game

Do not mentally assume what your eyes visually see

in literal form.

Picture Phone Game1. Break into groups of __X#_ people. 2. For ever how many group members is the number of pieces of paper each member should have. 3. Number your papers on the top right corner (#1- #X) and circle each number.4. Keep the same stack of papers together at all times. Do not mix the papers in your stack with the papers in another person’s stack. 5. Odd number papers will receive words only.6. Even number papers will receive pictures only.7. Each person will begin by writing a sentence on page number one that can be turned into a picture on page number two. 8. After your sentence has been written, pass your entire stack of papers to your left/right, with page number one remaining on top. 9. Upon receiving your new stack of papers, read the sentence on page number one, place that paper on the bottom of the stack and draw the picture that the sentence describes onto page number two. You drawing of the sentence can be as literal or as loosely expressive as you want. 10. After your group has completed their drawings on page number two, pass your stack to the person on the left/right, while leaving page two on top of the stack. 11. Once you receive your new stack, provide a written description (words only) on page number three of the drawing on page number two. You can be as literal or as loosely expressive as you want. 12. Repeat steps seven through eleven. 13. After completing your drawing/writing on the final page, place that page on the bottom of the stack so that when you hand the stack to the original writer of the first page, he/she will not be able to see how the story ends. 14. After you receive your original stack, silently read the progression of your story. 15. Share your storyline with your group members, making sure that each group member is able to see the pictures drawn. 16. Note the accuracy or inaccuracy of your storyline, from the first page to the last page.
