Hunting boomerangs

This is a long boomerang about t2 and a half feet long and about four to seven pounds. the hunting boomerang is not built to return to the thrower. Its main purse is to kill prey such as kangaroo, emu and possums.

Returning boomerang

This boomerang is designed to return to the thrower. The returning boomerang was not primarily designed for hunting as it is too light and wouldn't guarantee a kill.

Cross boomerang

Shaped like a cross. Two flat wooden pieces tied together with lawyer cane. This type was only made and used by our people in the rainforest areas of Northern Queensland.
