DESCRIPTION

Like most things in life, college is what you make it. At Illinois, what will you make of it?

TRANSCRIPT

Let’s face it.

Classes aren’t going to teach you all you need to know to be a competent and capable

professional.

There aren’t any classes on teamwork, networking, or collaboration in Foellinger

Auditorium.

Instead, you need to refine these skills through working with others.

To find them, you need to get out of your comfort zone.

… and learn how to work with those who don’t.

You might learn you really can’t judge a book by its cover.

But how do you start learning things that can’t be taught in lecture?

At a school of 40,000 undergraduate students, you have to be your own advocate.

You need to utilize all the people here to help you.

Your academic advisor could be more than just for help for picking out classes, but a mentor for life.

Your professors have insights from their own career struggles and triumphs.

Your teaching assistants are more than happy to share their advice –are you willing to ask?

From Alterative Spring Break to the Yoga and Meditation Club, there are over 800 RSO’s

you could get involved in.

Quad Day overwhelming? Find all the information you need by searching RSO list in the Illinois

search bar.

People and activities are out there to help and support you – but are you willing to reach out

and find them?

…or an intramural champion…

…or a big brother or sister – Greek or otherwise.
