Logos, the Greek term translated into English

as ‘the Word’, represented the creative force

behind all that exists, the logical order and

stability of the universe, and the expression of

that force and order.

9The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

John 20: 31…these (things) are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

…To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…

Philippians 2: 5In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; 7rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross!
