Over the past 3 years, the iPad has enabled an entirely new space to appear - the social newsreader. Startups have raised hundreds of millions of dollars, been acquired by big media conglomerates, and even raised from the dead by other companies to win this coveted space. After looking at usage from 60,000,000+ users of the Onswipe platform from November 13th-January 13th, we’re able to determine who is winning the newsreader war and driving the most traffic for publishers.
