Tree Identification and

Green Woodwork

Study the trees in spring. Learn how to identify different species before the leaves come out.

Learn timber properties and gain basic skills to make a spoon and bowl from green wood.

Study the trees in summer, get to know their properties, places to grow & use of timber.

Learn how to fell a tree, process the wood and crate a chair or stool from green timber.

Courses are suitable for people with special needs

With Malcolm Lemmon - well known mas-ter craftsman in green woodwork and trained forester

And Margaret Colquhoun - Goethean Scien-tist and director of Pishwanton Wood

Dates:

6th / 7th April Trees in Spring

11th / 12th May Trees in Summer

Costs: £60 (£45 Concessions) per day Includes tuition and all materials
