Mykris Wireless iGate System MPLS Overview:
The MPLS/VPLS approach has some advantages:
- MPLS MTU is running on 1522, this to avoid fragmentation if packet size + VPLS CW + MPLS labels exceeds MPLS MTU of outgoing interface.- VPLS tunnel is about 60% faster and less overhead than common IEEE 802.11 WDS setup.- IEEE 802.11 speed is limited over WDS bridges, this method doesn't have such limitations.
Advance Security of the Mykris Wireless iGate System MPLS over wireless setup:- LDP transport address is based on point-to-point subnet = /30.- Allow authorized LDP transport address to communicate.- Unique VPLS ID is invisible in the wireless environment.- Allow authorized VPLS interface to communicate.- Allow authorized VPLS ID to communicate.
