Wisdom’s Observations
on Fathers and Mothers and their Children Proverbs
1. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. – 31:28
2. The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be picked out by the ravens of the valley and eaten by the worms. – 30:17
3. Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart. – 29:17
4. He who loves wisdom makes his father glad, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth. – 29:3
5. Whoever robs his father or his mother and says, “That is no transgression,” is a companion to a man who destroys. – 28:24
6. The one who keeps the law is a son with understanding, but a companion of gluttons shames his father. – 28:7
7. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. Let your father and mother be glad; let her who bore you rejoice. – 23:24-25
8. The righteous who walks in his integrity–blessed are his children after him! – 20:7
9. He who does violence to his father and chases away his mother is a son who brings shame and reproach. – 19:26
10. House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD. – 19:14
11. A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him. – 17:25
12. A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother. – 15:20
13. In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. – 14:26
14. The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand. – 12:7
15. Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart. – 11:29

Alice Buckner’s camp session is this week. She needs the following: We need egg cartons for a craft (as many as we can get). Please bring them to church Sunday
morning, if possible, or Wednesday night would be ok. I need someone to grill hot dogs Friday morning (to be ready at 11:00 A.M.) I would love to have as many adults as possible to serve as "security" (basically extra eyes and
ears) every day. If someone can come and hang out 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 days that would be great! We would appreciate homemade cookies for our lunch on Friday if anyone would like to bring some
Wed. night. :) Are there any nurses who would like to be at camp any day between 9:00 and 2:30? Or at least be
on call in case of emergency? Call (417) 844-3062 or e-mail alijobuckner@gmail.com.
