EAII WG Scope

• Scope: Drive the understanding and implementation of CIM-based message exchange to support efficient and effective communication while establishing a forum for the sharing of such information as well as best practices for exchange of CIM-based information
• This group is proposing a merger with the Tools WG
Model Exchange & Naming WG Scope
Chair: Jay Britton, Areva (jay.britton@areva-td.com) • TF scope covers the use of CIM standards for exchange of power system modeling
information among participants in interconnected transmission grids.– Operations and planning.– Static model exchange standard (61970-452/552)– Power flow exchange standards for case inputs and steady-state solutions– Naming practices and Identification of modeling objects in model exchange

Co-chairs: Terry Saxton (tsaxton@xtensible.net) & Ed Dobrowolski (ed.dobrowolski@nerc.net) Scope:• Overall management of the CIMug • Development and tuning of the CIMug web site • Coordination of the Technical Issues process• Development and coordination of the Help Desk environment • Coordination and maintenance of the CIMug mail list • Meeting planning and assistance in conducting the meetings of the CIMug • Establishment of the budget for the CIMug • Development of liaisons with appropriate external groups • Adherence to the rules and regulations of the CIMug and UCAIug

Merged Group Charter
The major objectives of this group are:• To promote the understanding and implementation of CIM
UML modeling and CIM-Based message exchange• To exchange best practices and information related to
challenges experienced when implementing CIM for EAI • To support collaboration and awareness of methodologies
for the derivation of messages• Support collaboration and awareness on various tools used to
work with CIM among the CIM users community
Compliance & Validation WG Scope

• Mission:– Formalize definition of CIM Compliance– Define standard compliance testing program, including procedures
and tools, documented as CIM Compliance Quality Program.
