Unemployment

Unemployed people can register at Labour Office as a job seeker.

They are entitled to get unemployment benefits if they prove 12 months work in last 3 years before submision of aplication.

The benefits amount is 50% in first 3 months and 45% for the remaining months.

They are entitled to draw the unemployment benefits for 6 months.

Employment

Education nursery schools for children between 3 and 6 years

of age

elementary schools: compulsory education lasts 9 years and you can choose between private school and schools administred by the municipality

secondary schools: three types – general secondary school, secondary technical college and

Universities provide:

master´s programs (4-6 years)

doctoral study for master´s graduates

studies at public and state universities are free in The Czech Republic

private universities provide bachelor programs

Recognition of qualification

Recognition of qualification is necessary if you work in any of regulated profession.
